Hello from The Harpies!
We are The Harpies, an independent project collective formed by three artists in the Providence area: Ayla Ahlquist, Mariah Min, and Tina Wolstencroft. As writers and comedians, our work has most often taken the form of improv, sketch, and musical comedy performances, bringing us to venues such as the Contemporary Theater Company in Wakefield, Wage House Comedy Theater in Pawtucket, the Columbus and Wilbury Theaters in Providence, the Magnet Theater in NYC, and Philly Improv Theater in (you guessed it) Philadelphia.
Most recently, we wrote and produced One Providence Place: A Mall Musical, an original 90-minute musical dramedy. Following two sold-out runs in 2024, One Providence Place was also performed in concert at FringePVD, and a studio cast recording was released for streaming and purchase. But this is only the beginning of our soon-to-be substantial portfolio-- stay tuned for more exciting projects from us!
